Carl August Scherre

Carl August Scherre (born July 12, 1839 in Leubingen ; † April 25, 1915 ) was a landowner, head of office and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Scherre was in Leubingen the son of freeholders born and Anspänners Carl Friedrich Scherre and his wife Henriette Juliane Dorothea born Fröbus. He attended elementary school and received private lessons. As a farmer, he initially managed his estate, then was a registrar from 1874 and from 1875 mayor of Leubingen. In addition, he was for many years a member of the district assembly, the provincial state assembly and the provincial committee and also a member of the former Chamber of Commerce in Halle . He was also on the board of directors of the state fire society of Saxony.

From 1893 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Merseburg 6 ( Sangerhausen , Eckartsberga ) and the German Reich Party . Between 1899 and 1915 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , where he was a member of the same constituency that he already represented in the Reichstag.
