Carl Conjola

Carl Conjola (born February 5, 1773 in Mannheim , † November 19, 1831 in Munich ) was a German landscape painter.

Carl Conjola was originally supposed to study science, but decided to study painting. Supported by Elector Karl Theodor (Palatinate and Bavaria) , he studied in Munich with Johann Jakob Dorner the Elder . He made many study trips through Germany , Italy and Switzerland , often visiting Tyrol .

On February 16, 1824, Carl Conjola was elected honorary member of the Munich Academy .

His works were often mentioned in the Munich “Society Gazette for Educated Estates”.
