Carl Daniels
Carl Daniels (* 26. August 1970 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is a former American boxer and world champion of the WBA in the light middleweight .
amateur
Among the amateurs, the southpaw won the Junior World Championship and the Golden Gloves in flyweight in 1987 .
professional
He made his professional debut on November 1st. He won all of his 26 fights and competed in his 27th fight against Terry Norris in the light middleweight division for the WBC world title and lost to a technical knockout.
On June 16, 1995, he boxed light middleweight against Julio Cesar Green (19-1-0) for the vacant WBA World Championship and beat him on points. However, the Argentine Julio César Vásquez already took this title from him in his first title defense in November of the same year with a technical knockout victory in the 11th.
