Carl Eduard Eschke

Carl Eduard Esc (h) ke , modernized Karl Eduard Esc (h) ke , pseudonyms: Eduard Floraldin and Eduard Lenz , (born March 15, 1805 in Zittau , † July 2, 1891 in Jena ) was a Lutheran theologian and author who usually wrote under a pseudonym.

Life

Esc (h) ke was born in Zittau, where he attended school and high school. He then studied Protestant theology at the University of Leipzig . In 1826 he was initially an assistant teacher at the general city school in Zittau. In 1836 Eschke went to the neighboring Hirschfelde as a deacon for a few years before returning to Zittau in 1840 to become a catechist and early preacher at the Trinity Church. From 1854 he worked as a second deacon at the main church Sankt Johannis and at the same time as an early preacher at the church Sankt Petri-Pauli. He retired in 1875 at the age of 70. He moved to the university town of Jena , where he died in 1891.
