Carl Freundel

Carl Freundel , also Karl , (born November 25, 1861 in Celle , † May 2, 1944 in Peine ) was a German politician ( DVP ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Freundel completed a chimney sweep apprenticeship in Linden from 1876 to 1880 , which he completed with the journeyman's examination. From 1882 he did military service; In 1887 he was promoted to NCO. He worked as a chimney sweep journeyman in Hanover and Peine until 1888 , went on a hike and was the managing director until 1894. After passing the master craftsman's examination in 1894, he worked as a district chimney sweep master in Peine and as head master of the chimney sweep guild for the Hildesheim district.

In addition to his professional activity, Freundel became involved in the voluntary fire brigade in Peine from 1880 . In 1894 he was promoted to captain of the fire brigade, was appointed city fire chief in 1902 and later became city fire director. From July 1929 to February 1934 he was chairman of the Hanover Provincial Fire Brigade Association .

Freundel was mayor from 1913 to 1915, from 1915 to 1917 mayor spokesman and from 1917 to 1931 honorary senator of the city of Peine. At the same time he had been a member of the district council of the Peine district since 1915 .

In February 1921 Freundel was elected to the Prussian Landtag for the German People's Party (DVP) , of which he was a member until 1924. In parliament he represented constituency 16 (south Hanover). From 1925 to 1929 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Hanover and there from 1926 to 1929 a member of the working group .
