Carl Friedrich Cless

Carl Friedrich Cless (born December 31, 1797 in Heidenheim an der Brenz , † April 29, 1861 in Kuchen ) was a German pastor and writer .

Life

Born as the son of the deacon David Friedrich Cless (1768–1810), Cless studied Protestant theology in Tübingen and Heidelberg . During his studies he became a member of the Tübingen fraternity Arminia and in 1817 a member of the old Heidelberg fraternity . After completing his studies, he worked as a parish vicar in Welzheim from 1820 to 1821 , where he was pastor or parish administrator until 1824 . After a short stop in Steinenberg in 1824, he was pastor in Holzheim until 1833 . At the same time he was director of the school conference in Göppingen . From 1833 to 1847 he was pastor in Tüngental , in 1847 in Sontheim an der Brenz and from 1858 in Kuchen. Cless was a member of the Patriotic Society .
