Carl Friedrich Deckler
Carl Friedrich Deckler (born June 7, 1838 in Bretzingen ; † February 18, 1918 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German history painter and fresco artist .
Deckler was born in Bretzingen, a district of Hardheim. He studied at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe .
He spent the period from 1860 to around 1890 in Lucerne , after which he settled in Freiburg im Breisgau.
In addition to easel painting , he dealt with wall painting and sgraffito .
