Carl Friedrich Solbrig , actually Christian Gottfried Solbrig , (born November 9, 1774 in Leipzig , † October 14, 1838 in Braunschweig ) was a German declamator and theater actor .

Life

Solbrig was the son of a white baker and, after playing through various other professional options (such as a horse dealer), devoted himself to the theater. From 1798 he was a member of the theater company in Hamburg, where he had his last appearance on March 27, 1801 and moved to Prague. Between 1805 and 1811 as well as 1817 and 1821 he was engaged at the Würzburg Theater with interruptions .
