Carl Gustav Wocke

Carl Gustav Georg Ludwig Wocke (born July 26, 1808 in Opole , † June 21, 1879 in Fraustadt ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a criminal judge, Wocke studied law in Breslau after attending grammar schools in Wesel and Görlitz . During his studies in 1829 he became a member of the old Breslau fraternity Arminia . Because of his fraternity activities, he was arrested and interrogated in 1834, but not convicted. After his exams in 1831 and 1834 he became an unskilled worker at the peace court in Bnin near Posen and in 1837 a judicial commissioner and from 1838 a notary in Trzemeszno ; from 1847 to 1850 he worked in Rawitsch . In the Landwehr he was last used as a captain . From 1850 he was provisional, in 1851 final district administrator in the Adelnau district . From 1862 to 1868 he was District Administrator in the Poznan District . From 1875 he worked as a lawyer and notary in Schroda , from 1878 in Fraustadt.
