Carl Heinrich von Dieskau

Carl Heinrich von Dieskau , currently mostly von Dießkau , (born August 30, 1706 ; † May 16, 1782 in Merseburg ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon chamberlain , district chief, tax collector and manor owner . He owned the Knauthain estate near Leipzig .

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family von Dieskau and was the son of Carl Hildebrand von Dieskau and his wife, a born Vitzthum von Eckstädt. Mer hahn en new Oberkeet by Johann Sebastian Bach is dedicated to him.

In 1766 he sold part of the inherited parental property for financial reasons. He died without leaving any male heirs.
