Carl Lebrecht Noething

Carl Lebrecht Noething (* 1717 in Tangermünde ; † August 1797 in Stettin ) was a Prussian war and domain councilor .

Life

Carl Lebrecht was the son of a domain official in Tangermünde. He studied since 1733 for three years in Halle jurisprudence . After graduating, he joined the Prussian Army as an auditor in 1739 and served 11 years in the “Alt-Schwerin” infantry regiment (No. 24) . In 1750 he became a war and domain councilor in Magdeburg and after five years moved to Stettin in the same function. In 1787, after 47 years of service, he was given an annual pension of 300 thalers to leave.

Noething is said to have been an excellent economist, but was still always concerned with cameralistics .

His daughter was married to the President of the Pomeranian War and Domain Chamber Johann Friedrich von Schütz (1740–1798).
