Carl Ludwig Schreiber (politician)

Johann Carl Ludwig Schreiber (born March 14, 1803 in Rehme ; † February 27, 1855 in Bielefeld ) was a German lawyer and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Carl Ludwig Schreiber studied law in Halle an der Saale and in Göttingen . Then he joined the Prussian judicial service. He was ausculator between 1825 and 1827 , then trainee lawyer and from 1830 to 1831 assessor at the Higher Regional Court in Paderborn . After that he was a regional and city judge until 1844. Then Schreiber was a district and city judge in Bielefeld until 1849. Between 1849 and 1852 he was an interim public prosecutor at the district courts in Bielefeld and Halle in Westphalia .

Schreiber was active in the Evangelical Church in Prussia and was a member of the district synod in Bielefeld. In 1844 and 1847 he was also a member of the Provincial Synod for the Province of Westphalia and even the Prussian General Synod of 1846 . He was elected to the Frankfurt National Assembly for the constituency of Bielefeld in 1848. He was a member of parliament until April 11, 1849. Schreiber was a member of the casino group . He also elected Friedrich Wilhelm IV. As German Emperor. In June 1849 he was also a member of the Gotha Assembly .
