Carl Maximilian Grüel

Carl Maximilian Grüel (born January 1, 1807 in Białystok , † November 18, 1874 in Burg near Magdeburg ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Life

Grüel was the son of a councilor. He studied law in Berlin and Göttingen and became a member of the Corps Brunsviga in Göttingen in 1827 . After completing his studies, Grüel was an auscultator, trainee lawyer and assessor in Magdeburg , Brandenburg an der Havel and Siegen . In 1839 he became a judicial commissioner and notary in Burg. In 1859 he settled as a lawyer at the appellate court in Magdeburg.

From May 20, 1848 to June 18, 1849 Grüel was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly and the rump parliament . He was a member of the Casino and Landsberg faction and elected Friedrich Wilhelm IV. As Emperor of the Germans.
