Carl Mayr-Graetz , actually Carl Mayr , also Carl Mayr-Graz , (born May 9, 1850 in Radkersburg , Styria , † August 24, 1929 in Murnau am Staffelsee ) was an Austrian genre painter who worked in Bavaria.

Born as the son of the Lieutenancy Council Carl Mayr (1816–1889), he graduated from secondary school in Graz . He began his studies with Johann Nepomuk Passini in Graz, continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with August von Kreling and Karl Raupp . From May 12, 1871 to 1878, he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Wilhelm von Diez . After completing his studies, Mayr-Graetz stayed in Munich, after 1900 he moved back to Murnau am Staffelsee. Carl Mayr-Graetz was friends with Wilhelm Leibl .
