Carl Meulenbergh

Carl Meulenbergh (born September 14, 1943 in Merkstein ) is a German politician ( CDU ), former member of the state parliament and last district administrator in the Aachen district .

Life and work

After attending school, he trained as an agricultural assistant. He graduated from the Rhenish Higher Agricultural School in Brühl from 1962 to 1964 as a graduate agricultural engineer . He then became a self-employed farmer.

Meulenbergh had been a member of the CDU since 1971. He was active in numerous party bodies.

Since July 2011 he has been chairman of the supervisory board and president of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein eV (ALRV) , organizer of the annual World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen .

MP

From May 31, 1990 to December 15, 1997 Meulenbergh was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list. On December 15, 1997, he resigned from parliament as he became a full-time district administrator of the Aachen district and remained until the district was dissolved in 2009.

He was a member of the council of the city of Herzogenrath from 1972 to 1990, the district council of the district of Aachen since 1975.
