Carl Rudolf Bertsch

Carl Rudolf Bertsch (born February 23, 1900 in Stuttgart , † September 5, 1967 in Tübingen ; also Carlo Bertsch ) was a German writer and painter .

Life

From 1915 to 1919 he attended the teachers' seminar in Künzelsau , then he was briefly in the school service before he studied at the Stuttgart Art Academy from 1923 to 1928 . From 1928 to 1933 he was an art teacher in Calw , but was transferred to Heilbronn in 1933, where he was initially an art teacher at the Dammrealschule and later at the Karlsgymnasium . In 1948 he moved to Stuttgart, in 1954 to Tübingen.

Artistic creation

In addition to his work as a writer, Bertsch painted watercolors and oil paintings. He was a member of the Heilbronn Artists' Association . His motifs include watercolors of the destroyed city of Heilbronn , southern cityscapes and landscapes.
