Carl von Campe
Carl von Campe (born April 16, 1894 in Hildesheim , † September 8, 1977 in Munich ) was a German politician of the German Party .
Life
Von Campe , son of the Prussian DVP member of the Bundestag Rudolf von Campe , entered the diplomatic service in 1921 and was employed in various foreign posts until 1940, before he was employed in the Foreign Office in Berlin until the end of the war . On December 1, 1940, he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 8.128.080). Nothing is known about its denazification .
Von Campe was a member of the Economic Council of the Bizone in 1948 and 1949 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from January 23, 1950, when he replaced his deceased party friend Friedrich Klinge , until January 8, 1952. He resigned his mandate to become the Federal Republic's first ambassador to Chile. From 1950 to 1952 von Campe was also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . In 1952 he became the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Chile . In 1959 he retired.
