Carla Bellscheidt (born January 13, 1994 in Essen ) is a German basketball player .

Basketball career

Carla Bellscheidt began her career at ETB SW Essen and moved to Oberhausen to the local first division club New Basket '92 Oberhausen , where she was used in particular in the female U17 youth division. After a stopover at the Grünberg sports boarding school in the 2011/2012 season - there she was used both in the second division team, 2nd women's basketball division north and in the WNBL - she moved back to Oberhausen for the 2012/2013 season and played in the first division team there . At the end of 2012, she left Oberhausen and played the season at the second division BBZ Opladen to the end.

For the 2013/2014 season, she moved to the 2nd women's basketball league south for TuS Bad Aibling, with whom she was promoted directly to the 1st division . For the 2015/2016 season she was signed by the reigning champion and cup winner TSV 1880 Wasserburg . The 1.83 m tall player is used in the forward position. After more than a year without a team assignment, Bellscheidt temporarily joined the women from NB Oberhausen, who now only play in the regional league, in November 2017.

National team career

Carla Bellscheidt went through the youth national teams of the DBB and was used at the European championships of the U16, U18 and U20 in Italy , Macedonia and Turkey . In 2015 she was appointed to the senior national team by national coach Bastian Wernthaler .
