Carla Häfner

Carla Häfner (* 1978 in Braunschweig ) is a German doctor and children's book author .

Life

Carla Häfner studied medicine at the universities of Göttingen , Boston and Ulm .

After the birth of her first son in 2009, Carla Häfner began to write poems and songs for him. Her first book A Little Penguin Dances was published in 2014 by the renowned music publisher Schott Music . At first, Häfner wrote for babies and toddlers only; meanwhile her books are also aimed at parents-to-be. In her current book Hallo Baby, hier singt Mama (2016), Häfner addresses the ability of the unborn to perceive and recognize music while still in the womb, and the resulting opportunities for parents-to-be to make contact with their unborn child at an early stage. Häfner worked with the soprano Franziska Förster on the production of the music and vocal examples for the accompanying CD .

Private

During her studies in Göttingen, Carla Häfner met her husband, who comes from Ulm . Since 2003 both have lived with their three children in the Neu-Ulm district of Offenhausen.
