Carla Kohlmann

Carla Kohlmann (born May 31, 1906 in New York , United States , † April 19, 1994 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Carla Kohlmann attended a business school and did a commercial apprenticeship. She became foreign language secretary for English and French . After the Second World War , she became the court clerk in 1945. In 1957 Kohlmann became a social security advisor at the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) Berlin, and in the same year she joined the SPD. In 1962 she became chairwoman of the workers' welfare in the Tiergarten district . In the Berlin election in 1963 she was made citizens' deputy in Berlin-Tiergarten. In the 1971 election , Kohlmann was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which she belonged until 1975.
