DJ Eule (* 1983 in Hanover , Germany; real name Andre Mattick ) is a producer and DJ from Lüdenscheid . Along with Absztrakkt and RUFFKIDD, he is one of the founders of the music label 58Muzik . He became best known through his collaboration with rappers Kool Savas , Absztrakkt , Cr7z and RUFFKIDD

Career

For hip-hop claims to Andre came Mattick, aka DJ owl, at the age of 11 years. At the beginning he was often on the road as a break dancer at hip-hop jams (music events in the hip-hop area), where he finally met the already renowned DJ Amir, who then took him to DJ-ing and music production. In 1998 he met Absztrakkt and the two began working on music projects together. A short time later a contract was signed with the former music label PDNTDR and Mattick produced the "Unscheinba aba da" -Maxi together with Absztrakkt . The production time of the Absztrakkt album (2005) "Deinzeichen" together with Roey Marquis was very instructive, according to both Lüdenscheiders. According to their own statements, they consolidated the idea of ​​working completely independently in the future and offering other artists an open platform.

The Absztrakkt album Bodhiguard was produced by the Snowgoons in collaboration with DJ sR and DJ Eule. Here the Snowgoons sent finished beats to Absztrakkt, he wrote the appropriate texts and then rapped them over the existing instrumentals. DJ sR was particularly active as a sound engineer, while DJ Eule mainly helped the artist with ideas and concepts. The joint production work on the album took a total of almost two years.

Daniel Schieferdecker wrote an article on the album Bodhiguard in the hip-hop music magazine Juice that "the lyrics [...] are within the tried and tested spectrum of Far Eastern philosophy, esotericism and our own wealth of experience". Influences of system criticism, battle rap and eroticism can also be heard. This appearance is excellent and far superior to many other productions. The speech samples from the film Bodyguard would have a somewhat "cheesy" sound at first, but would otherwise work well. Schieferdecker awarded four out of six crowns for the album.

In 2015 the album "Waage & Fisch" was released in collaboration with Absztrakkt and Cr7z . It reached number 52 in the German music charts and is thus the greatest success so far together with Cr7z . Music videos were shot for the titles "The Only One" and "Anahata".

Only two months later, Cr7z's second solo album, “Sieben Weltmeere”, was released, which again made it to the charts. Mattick also worked on this album.

On May 1st, 2017 Cr7z and DJ Eule founded their new label Arjuna, through which both of them will publish their productions from now on.

DJ Eule has been accompanying Kool Savas on tour as a DJ since 2019 .

Music label Arjuna

The label Arjuna was founded on May 1st, 2017 by Cr7z and DJ Eule . At the time of its founding, the artist Cr7z and Mattick publish their own productions under this label. According to their own statements, Hess and Mattick would like to focus on their art with their work under Arjuna, but they still maintain good contacts with their old colleagues.

In 2019, DJ Eule signed the 19-year-old rapper HeXer from Leipzig with Arjuna, who then released his debut ep "Metropolis".

Music label 58Muzik

The label 58Muzik was launched in 2001 by Absztrakkt , DJ Eule and RUFFKIDD and was officially registered as a label in 2008. In addition to his own publications, albums by the artists Questgott and Jinx have also appeared there . Over the years, many productions by various artists appeared under the label 58Muzik and Mattick succeeded step by step in making music production and label work his main profession, in order to devote himself entirely to work as a producer and DJ.
