Carlina sitiensis is a plant from the genus Eberwurzen ( carlina ) in the family of Compositae (Asteraceae).
features
Carlina sitiensis is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of 40 centimeters. The leaf spindle has a width of 4 to 6 millimeters. Their surface is yellow-thorny and tiny glandular as well as slightly cobweby. The inner bracts are pale straw-colored or white.
The flowering time is in July and rarely begins in June.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
Carlina sitiensis is a southeast Cardagean floral element and occurs in eastern Crete and on Kasos . The species grows in Phrygana and on ruderal sites at altitudes from 0 to 300 meters.
