Carlo Buti
Carlo Giuseppe Eugenio Buti (born November 14, 1902 in Florence , † November 16, 1963 in Montelupo Fiorentino ) was an Italian singer .
biography
From a young age, Carlo Buti was famous for his style of interpretation. After studying classical music with Raoul Frazzi , who later also taught Gino Bechi , he began to sing with EIAR (later RAI ).
He made his debut with Napoletan songs, but only had greater success with the romantic songs Portami tante rose ( Bixio - Galdieri ) and Violino tzigano ( Bixio ).
In 1930 he received a contract with Edison-Bell , in 1934 he switched to the Columbia record company .
In contrast to many singers of that era, Buti cultivated a style that came closer to traditional songs than to the classical music of opera arias . This particular style especially contributed to its success. He ended his career in 1956 and had recorded more than 1,500 songs during that time.
