Carlo Zotti (born September 3, 1982 in Benevento ) is a former Italian football goalkeeper . He played for the Swiss club AC Bellinzona between February 2009 and June 2011 .

Career

Club career

Carlo Zotti began his professional career in the 2002/03 season at AS Roma , for which he played in his youth. He played his first Serie A game in a 3-1 win over FC Turin . Zotti stayed two more years in Rome, where he played a total of 14 league games and conceded 18 goals.

He was then loaned to Ascoli Calcio for a year , where he was not used. In the 2006/07 season Zotti returned to Rome, but was loaned again during the winter break, this time to Sampdoria Genoa . There he remained number two behind Gianluca Berti, played only once and received two goals.

In the 2008/2009 season he was sold to AS Cittadella in Serie B, after twelve games he moved to AC Bellinzona in January 2009 , which plays in the Swiss Axpo Super League . So far he has played 31 games there and saw three red cards (as of September 2010).

National team

Zotti played his first and only international match in the U-17 national team on November 17, 1999 in a 2-1 win over Switzerland . He played five times for the U-18 national team, including twice in qualifying for the U-18 European Championship in 2001 . In 2004 he was used in two games for the Italian U-21 national team . In a total of eight international junior matches, he only conceded four goals.

In total, Zotti was in the squad of a junior national team 20 times, but has not yet been appointed to the senior national team.
