Carlos Eduardo Sette Câmara da Fonseca Costa (born September 13, 1949 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian diplomat .
Life
Carlos Eduardo Sette Câmara da Fonseca Costa is the son of Cécilia Sette Câmara da Fonseca Costa Couto and Carlos Albeto da Fonseca Costa Couto. He studied law at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro until 1973 and entered the curso preparatório da carreira diplomática of the Rio Branco Institute in 1975 . On September 11, 1975, he was appointed Secretary of the Third Class and served in the Department of International Bodies. In 1977 he became a master in nuclear power law. In 1978 he was promoted to second class diplomatic secretary in Madrid .
In 1980 he was the secretary of the embassy in Bogotá and received the Spanish Order del Mérito Civil . In 1981 he completed the Curso de Aperfeiçoamento de Diplomatas (CAD) of the Rio Branco Institute.
On December 22, 1982, he was promoted to Secretary, First Class. In 1984 he became deputy head of the economic enterprise department. In 1985 he was the office manager of the economic and commercial department. In 1988 he was Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Department, was decorated with the Medalha do Mérito Santos-Dumont and the Medalha Mérito Tamandaré and was accepted into the Order of Rio Branco . In 1989 he became a member of the Legation Council.
From 1990 to 1991 he was Minister Counselor in Buenos Aires . From 1995 to 1996 he was Minister Counselor in Lisbon . From 1998 to 2001 he was Consul General in Zurich .
From 2002 to April 18, 2005 he was Ambassador to Jakarta . From September 23, 2005 to September 28, 2007 he was ambassador to Manila . From December 12, 2007 to December 16, 2009 he was ambassador to Islamabad and at the same time accredited to the governments in Kabul and Dushanbe , Tajikistan . On October 17, 2013 he was appointed ambassador to Nassau .
