Carlos Lorenzo Medlock (born April 22, 1987 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American basketball player . He belongs to the squad of the Turkish club Bornova Belediyesi .

Player career

Medlock grew up in Detroit , Michigan , and played at Murray-Wright High School. His good performance earned him a scholarship to East Michigan University . There he was given the role of regular playmaker from his freshman season 2005/06. In late January 2007, Medlock broke his foot and was out for the remainder of his sophomore 2006/07 season. Due to another broken foot, he was suspended for the entire 2008/09 season. Between 2005 and 2010, Medlock scored a total of 1,574 points in 110 missions and was sixth on Eastern Michigan University's all-time basketball list when he switched to professional life in 2010.

At the 2010 NBA Development League draft , the Utah Flash decided to secure Medlock's services. The development player appeared in two games for Utah in the 2010/11 season and moved to the British first division club Guildford Heat in the spring of 2011 .

In the 2012/13 season, Medlock posted the second-highest average points (26.8 per game) in the first division of Iceland in Skallagrimur Borganes' jersey. For the 2013/14 season he moved to Germany. There he developed into a promotion specialist in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . In 2014 he was promoted to the basketball league with the Crailsheim Merlins, in 2015 he succeeded with the S.Oliver Baskets Würzburg and in 2016 with the SC Rasta Vechta . However, none of the three teams relied on Medlock's services after the BBL promotion. At the end of July 2016 he was signed by the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig and thus made the leap into the Bundesliga. With an average of 13.8 points per game, he was the second best Braunschweig thrower in the 2016/17 season and led the team in assists (4.2 assists per game).

In the summer of 2017 Medlock was signed by the Greek first division club AGO Rethymnou  , in November 2017 he moved to the Polish first division to King Wilki Morskie Szczecin. In summer 2018 he joined the Turkish second division club Karesispor , stayed for a year and then played again in Poland. In 2020 he went back to Turkey.
