Carmelo Cappello
Carmelo Cappello (* 21st May 1912 in Ragusa ( Sicily ), Italy ; † 21st December 1996 in Milan , Italy) was an Italian sculptor of modernity .
Life
Cappello studied at the art school in Comiso in 1928 before moving to Rome . After 1930 he studied at the Art School in Monza ( Istituto Superiore ) with Marino Marini .
Carmelo Cappello died in 1996 at the age of 84 in Milan, where he had lived and worked for most of his life.
Capello was a participant in the Venice Biennale , the Rome Quadriennale , the Milan Triennale and, in 1959, the documenta 2 in Kassel .

Cappello was known for his filigree metal sculptures, which often had an abstract bird-like appearance.
His works are exhibited in museums in Antibes , Belgrade , Palermo and Rome , among others .
