Carolina Conceição Martins Pereira , called Carol Carioca (born February 18, 1983 in Belford Roxo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian soccer player . On October 5, 2017, she and nine other Brazilian soccer players were declared by FIFA as not eligible to play for the women's national team of Equatorial Guinea .

Career

Carol started her career at Pelé Club Santos before moving to Botucatu FC in 2005. There she was twice champion with the team and scored 14 goals. On February 2, 2009, she left Rio de Janeiro and moved to Germany and signed with FF USV Jena until the end of the season (June 30, 2009), on June 11, 2009 she extended her contract to June 30, 2011. In her second season In Jena she didn't play a single game due to an injury and left the USV in the summer of 2010 for Brazil. After a year at Botucatu FC, she moved to Clube Recreativo e Esportivo dos Sub-tenentes e Sargentos da Polícia Militar in early 2011. In spring 2011 she moved to Estrellas del Sur in Equatorial Guinea , where she played until winter 2012. After her time in Equatorial Guinea, she returned to Brazil and initially played for Duque de Caxias FC before playing for Associação Portuguesa de Desportos and Foz Cataratas FC in 2014 . Carioca played for Foz Cataratas for half a year and switched to Acadêmica Vitória in September 2014 . After two seasons at Associação Desportiva Centro Olímpico , she moved to AE Kindermann in winter 2016/2017 . In May 2017, Carolina left Kindermann and joined the military association Clube Recreativo e Esportivo dos Sub-tenentes e Sargentos da Polícia Militar.

International

Carol is part of the extended squad of the Equatorial Guinean national team and previously played for the U-17 of her home country. It was first named in 2008. She took part in the women's African championship in 2010 and is on the World Cup squad for the 2011 women's soccer world championship in Germany .
