To state election in 2009 it has not raced for more and ran for the CDU instead for parliamentary elections in 2009 in the federal constituency Sonnenberg - Saalfeld-Rudolstadt - Saale-Orla in which it against the candidate of the party Die Linke very nearly won the direct mandate. Stauche was a full member of the Bundestag Committee on Food and Agriculture and a deputy member of the Tourism Committee and the Interior Committee.

In the 2013 federal election she was able to defend her direct mandate with a clear lead. After the number of federal electoral districts in Thuringia had been reduced from nine to eight for the 2017 federal election , Stauche was the only CDU representative from Thuringia to decide against running again and left the Bundestag.
