The mountain village of Arnsgereuth is located in the Thuringian Slate Mountains southeast of the city of Saalfeld. The federal road 281 leads from Saalfeld up into the mountain village and connects it with the surrounding area.

history

Arnsgereuth was first mentioned in a document in 1357.

On December 1, 2011, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the city of Saalfeld / Saale. 253 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​4.03 km². The place is 590 meters above sea ​​level . The Bundestag member Carola Stauche  ( CDU ) comes from Arnsgereuth.
