Dittrichshütte is a district of the city of Saalfeld / Saale in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

Districts of the municipality of Saalfeld / Saale are located on a high plateau of the Thuringian Slate Mountains : Dittrichshütte, north of Braunsdorf , south-east of Birkenheide . They are surrounded by agricultural areas with the following forest. These districts are connected to the district road 177, which meets the federal road 281 and the federal road 85 in Saalfeld .

history

Dittrichshütte was first mentioned in a document on November 19, 1370. Until 1918 the place belonged to the sovereignty of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Braunsdorf was incorporated.

Up until the middle of the 20th century, agriculture, mining ( uranium ) and forestry were the main sources of income. Today Dittrichshütte is a place for those looking for relaxation and a land of olities . The KiEZ Dittrichshütte is also located here . The place has 310 inhabitants. From 1991 to 1996 Dittrichshütte belonged to the administrative community Saalfelder Höhe . With the dissolution of this on January 1, 1997, the place became a part of the unified community Saalfelder Höhe . This was incorporated into Saalfeld / Saale on July 6, 2018.
