Carolyn Schuler

Carolyn Schuler (born January 5, 1943 in San Francisco ) is a former American swimmer .

In her career she could not win a single national title. The Olympic victory in the 100 m butterfly at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome was all the more surprising . With this victory, she also qualified for the US 4 × 100 m individual medley relay , with which she was also victorious. In 1989 she was inducted into the hall of fame of international swimming .
