Caspar Anton Heuser
Caspar Anton Heuser (born January 6, 1822 in Düsseldorf , † April 3, 1891 in Cologne ) was a German priest and theologian .
Life
After theological studies at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, he was ordained a priest on September 15, 1844 and went to Düsseldorf as a chaplain . From 1849 Heuser also worked as an employee of Adolph Kolping in the publication of the Rheinisches Kirchenblatt. In 1852 he received his doctorate. jur. and on April 5, 1854 became professor in the Cologne seminary . In 1868 he was appointed consultor for the First Vatican Council and called to Rome to prepare for the council. On November 4, 1869 he became cathedral chapter in Cologne. Archbishop Philip Krementz appointed him on April 1, 1886 Offizial .
