Caspar Arnhold

Caspar Arnhold (born April 27, 1972 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German photographer , actor and director .

Life

Caspar Arnhold made his first short film Kopflos in 1984 . After graduating from high school, he assisted photographers and took photos himself for lifestyle articles in magazines, sedcards for model agencies and locations for film productions.

Under the pseudonym Caspar Houser he put a DJ in London and Frankfurt, produced and published along with Armin Johnert and Dennis Sarratou house music.

In 1993 Arnhold went to London and studied "Acting & Drama" at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute . In 1994 he produced his first play with fellow students. In 1996 he graduated from the London and International School of Acting as Joseph Garcin in In Camera by Jean Paul Sartre . In the same year he wrote and produced the short film Drinking & Bleeding with Catarina Furtado in the leading role. In 1997 he returned to Germany and worked as an actor in theater, film and TV. In 2001 he ended his acting career and spent some time as a bartender in the catering industry.

Since 2004 he has mainly worked as a photographer and director. He is a member of the German Film Academy . In 2010 he was executive producer on the science fiction film Nydenion by Jack Moik and co-produced Alguien ha visto a Lupita? (Have you seen Lupita?) By Gonzalo Justiniano .

Caspar Arnhold has been married since 2011 and has a daughter.
