content

In Greek mythology, Kassandra was a king's daughter from Troy during the Trojan War . She received the gift of prophecy from God Apollo , but also the curse that no one believed her prophecies. It warned about the Trojan horse but was ignored, which is why the city fell. After the war, Agamemnon took her to Mycenae as a slave .

The song describes the sad situation the day after the city fell. The grief of Cassandra and her departure are also described. But above all, it reports on the remorse and apology of one of the actors from the previous day. He hadn't believed Cassandra and said he couldn't have either ("Some of us wanted but none of us could listen to words of warning", for example, "Some of us wanted, but none of us could listen to warning words") . But now he is convinced that she was right and can see the future.
