Castellsches Amtshaus
The former Castellsche Amtshaus in Rödelsee , a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen , was built in 1648. The building at Kirchenplatz 14 is a protected architectural monument .
history
The building was the official residence of the Counts of Castell-Rüdenhausen until the 19th century . The count's room and servants' chamber are still preserved today. Since 1880 the house was owned by the host family. The Rödelsee community bought the building in the 2000s and extensively renovated it. In 2004 the restaurant Der Löwenhof was opened there.
description
In 1648 the office building was built in the Renaissance style. The magnificent portal with the coat of arms of the Castell family and the landlords Nikolaus Röder and Georg Christopherus Röschel was built in 1710 during a renovation.
