Carola Malvina López Rodríguez (born April 17, 1982 in Córdoba ) is an Argentine Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 49 kilograms.

López has been taking part in international competitions since 1998. At her first World Cup in 2001 in Jeju-si , she retired in the class up to 51 kilograms after the opening fight. The 2005 World Cup in Madrid was more successful . In the class up to 47 kilograms, López reached the quarter-finals, but narrowly missed a medal after a defeat against Sümeyye Manz . In the same weight class, she won her first international medal with silver at the Pan American Championship in Buenos Aires the following year . Due to differences with the Argentine federation, López subsequently ended her active career, but returned to the competition mat in 2011. At the Pan-American Olympic qualification tournament in Santiago de Querétaro , López won the decisive battle for third place against Carolena Carstens in the class up to 49 kilograms and secured participation in the 2012 Olympic Games in London , although she was handicapped by a broken hand only a few weeks earlier .

López graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina with a degree in economics. She trains under Jeovani Baeza at the Sports Center of the National University of Cordoba .
