Cathal Lombard
Cathal Lombard (born February 12, 1976 ) is a retired Irish long-distance runner .
At the 2001 World Cross Country Championships in Oostende, he finished 102nd in the long distance.
In 2003 he became Irish champion over 5000 m and came in 17th place at the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis over 10,000 m .
In 2004 he finished third at the Great Manchester Run . Shortly before the Olympic Games in Athens , he was tested positive for erythropoietin in a training camp on July 11 and was banned for two years for this violation of the doping regulations .
