Cecilia Carolina Bolocco Fonck (born May 19, 1965 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean presenter and actress on Chilean television.

Life

Bolocco studied for one year Engineering and then fashion design . In 1987 she was the first Chilean woman to be elected Miss Universe . She then began a career with the Chilean state television, where she hosted an entertainment program on Saturday. She later co-hosted a program on Canal 13.

Bolocco married the American television producer Michael Young in 1990 . The Chilean media reported the event as if it were a royal wedding. In 1990, Bolocco moved to Miami , Florida , where she worked as a news anchor for CNN . She then hosted several programs at Telemundo , a Spanish-speaking television company in Puerto Rico , for which she received two Emmy Awards .

Bolocco later starred in the Mexican television series Morelia , which aired in over 70 countries, and in the mid-1990s, Bolocco split from her husband Michael Young. After their separation, from October 1996, she again presented well-watched programs on Chilean television and also had her own radio program. In February 2000 she took over the moderation of the Viña del Mar festival .

On May 26, 2000, she married the former Argentine President Carlos Menem , whom she had met during an interview. Máximo, Bolocco and Menem's first child together, was born at the end of 2003. The separation took place in April 2007, the final divorce in 2011.
