Cecilio Waterman , full name Cecilio Alfonso Waterman Ruiz , (born April 13, 1991 in Panama City ) is a Panamanian football player .

Career

The 1.81 meter tall offensive player Waterman was at the beginning of his career in the ranks of the Panamanian first division club Sporting San Miguelito and played four league games there in the 2010/11 season, in which he hit the opposing goal once. Since the Clausura 2011 he has been playing for Centro Atlético Fénix in Uruguay . In the 2011/12 season he was used 15 times in the Primera División at the club from Montevideo and scored two goals. In the 2012/13 season, 22 more Premier League appearances (five goals) followed, in 2013/14 he was used 24 times (four goals) in the Primera División. In the 2014/15 season he was used 22 times (two goals) in the top Uruguayan league. During the 2015/16 season, he made another 24 premier league appearances (one goal). In the 2016 season, a first division game and two matches in the Copa Sudamericana 2016 were added - each personally goalless . At the beginning of September 2016, he moved to Venados FC . For the Mexicans he has so far (as of September 13, 2016) played once (no goal) in the league.

National team

Waterman was among the cadres of the Panamanian U-20 team at the at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship 2011 took part. In this tournament he ran six times and scored the same number of hits. He was also a member of the Panamanian squad at the 2011 U-20 World Cup in Colombia . There he was used in three tournament encounters (no goal). In addition, Waterman was fielded in four games of the CONCACAF Olympic qualification in the U-23 Panama in 2012 and scored one goal. On December 22, 2013 Waterman was briefly arrested by the police in Pedregal in his native Panama, where he was on vacation after completing the Uruguayan Apertura. He was accused of drinking alcohol with friends in public and of being disrespectful to the police.
