Cees Bol (born July 27, 1995 in Zaandam ) is a Dutch cyclist .

Athletic career

The first major sporting success of Cees Bol, a member of the Rabobank Development Team , was the victory at the Olympia's Tour in 2016. He was then signed for 2017 by the SEG Racing Academy team . Before he could make his debut for the team, he had at home a fainting spell . In the following fall he suffered a concussion and was unable to compete in races until the end of August. In 2018 he won the Flèche Ardennaise and a stage of the Tour de Bretagne Cycliste . On August 1 of the year he moved to Team Sunweb , initially as a stagiaire .

In spring 2019, Bol was successful several times: He won the Nokere Koerse race in the sprint ahead of the German Pascal Ackermann and a stage of the California Tour ahead of Peter Sagan . In May he decided the first stage of the Tour of Norway for himself. At the beginning of 2020 he won a stage of the Algarve Tour .
