Celina Eileen Meißner (born August 19, 1998 in Bad Oldesloe ) is a German handball player who plays in the 2nd Bundesliga for VfL Waiblingen .

Career

In the club

Celina Meißner started playing handball in 2002 at TSV Bargteheide. In the 2011/12 season she guarded the goal of the C-youth from GHG Hahnheide and then moved to VfL Bad Schwartau . With VfL Bad Schwartau, she won the championship in the Oberliga Hamburg - Schleswig-Holstein in 2013 and took part in the Final Four tournament for the German A youth championship in 2016.

Meißner ran from 2014 to the third division SV Henstedt-Ulzburg by second game right . In the summer of 2016, the goalkeeper joined SG BBM Bietigheim , where she played for the 2nd team in the 3rd division. In the 2017/18 season it also ran under a license for the second division TG Nürtingen . In the summer of 2018, she switched to Bundesliga club TV Nellingen . For the 2019/20 season, she moved to VfL Waiblingen .

In selection teams

Meißner made her international debut for the German national youth team at the Aygo Lambeng Girls Cup in Schmelz in August 2014 . The following year she took part with the DHB selection at the U-17 European Championship and finished ninth there. She also took part in the U-18 World Cup in 2016 .
