Cendrine Browne (born September 8, 1993 in Barrie ) is a Canadian cross-country skier .

Career

Browne started in Whistler in January 2012 for the first time in the Nor Am Cup and finished 14th over 10 km classic. In December 2012 she made her debut in Québec in the cross-country skiing world cup and achieved 59th place in the sprint. The following month she reached her first podium finish in the Nor Am Cup in Thunder Bay with second place over 10 km freestyle. Her best results at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec were 15th place over 5 km freestyle and 13th place with the relay. In the following year, at the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Fiemme Valley , she came 39th in the skiathlon , 36th in the sprint and 31st place over 10 km classic. In the 2014/15 season she reached six podium finishes in the Nor Am Cup, including a victory in the 30 km mass start race at the Canadian Championships in Thunder Bay , finishing fourth in the overall standings. At the U23 World Championships in 2015 in Almaty , she achieved 30th place in skiathlon, 26th place in sprint and 23rd place over 10 km freestyle. After third place in the 10 km mass start race and second place in the sprint at the beginning of the 2015/16 season at the Nor Am Cup in Canmore , she took four wins and two second places and thus achieved second place in the overall standings. She finished the Ski Tour Canada in March 2016 in 40th place. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she finished 52nd in the World Cup Mini Tour in Lillehammer . Further participation in the World Cup followed. The 35th place over 10 km freestyle in Ulricehamn was her best placement. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 26th place in the 30 km mass start race, 13th place together with Dahria Beatty in the team sprint and tenth place with the relay. At the end of the season she finished 40th at the World Cup final in Québec . In the 2017/18 season she took 72nd place in the Ruka Triple and 39th place in the World Cup final in Falun . She got her first World Cup points in Falun with 27th place in the pursuit race. In January 2018 she won the Nor-Am-Cup in Mont Sainte-Anne in the skiathlon and over 10 km classic. Her best placings at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 33rd place in the skiathlon and 13th place with the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol , she ran to 46th place in the 30 km mass start race, 40th place in the skiathlon and 12th place with the relay. In the 2019/20 season she achieved two second places and a third and first place, second place in the overall standings of the Nor Am Cup.
