Dahria Beatty (born March 7, 1994 ) is a Canadian cross-country skier .

Career

Beatty started in Vernon in the Nor Am Cup in December 2009 and finished 32nd in the 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2010 in Hinterzarten , she won 65th place in the skiathlon , 25th place over 5 km classic and 14th place with the relay. Her best results at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum were 23rd place in the skiathlon and ninth place in the relay. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season she ran her first World Cup races in Canmore . She finished 57th in the 10 km mass start race, 55th in the sprint and 54th in the skiathlon. Her best results at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2014 in Fiemme Valley were 15th place over 5 km classic and tenth place with the relay. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season , she won her first Nor-Am Cup victory in Vernon in the 15 km freestyle. In the further course of the season she came in third place in the Nor-Am Cup three times and won the Canadian championships and also the Nor-Am Cup in Thunder Bay over 5 km freestyle. At the U23 World Championships in 2015 in Almaty , she came 30th in the 10 km freestyle and 20th in the sprint. She finished the season in third place in the overall ranking of the Nor-Am Cup. After finishing third in the sprint at the US Super Tour in West Yellowstone at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, she won the sprint and 10 km mass start race at the Nor-Am Cup in Canmore and the 10 km freestyle in Vernon . This was followed by a second place and a first place in Cantley and two wins in Prince George in the Nor-Am Cup . In March 2016, she got her first World Cup points in the sprint stage of the Ski Tour Canada in Canmore with 15th place. At the Canadian Championships in Whitehorse in 2016 , she won the sprint and 10 km freestyle. She also came second over 5 km classic and won the overall standings of the Nor Am Cup at the end of the season. The following season she finished 59th in the World Cup mini tour in Lillehammer and 50th in the World Cup final in Québec . At the 2017 U23 World Championships in Soldier Hollow , she came 19th in the skiathlon, 16th in 10 km freestyle and 12th in sprint. Her best placings at the season highlight of the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 34th place in the 30 km mass start race, 13th place together with Cendrine Browne in the team sprint and tenth place with the relay. In the Nor Am Cup, she took second place twice and first place once and thus achieved ninth place in the overall standings.

In the 2017/18 season Beatty won the sprint at the Nor-Am-Cup in Mont Sainte-Anne and came 54th at the World Cup final in Falun . Her best placings at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang were 37th place over 10 km freestyle and 13th place with the relay and together with Emily Nishikawa in the team sprint. In the following season she took five wins in the Nor-Am Cup. She also took second place three times and came in second overall at the end of the season. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol were 31st place in the sprint and 12th place with the relay and together with Emily Nishikawa in the team sprint.
