The Centennial Airport is the regional airport of Arapahoe County , Colorado , on the outskirts of Denver . The very busy general aviation airport is of local importance and, in addition to a control tower with the associated air traffic control facilities, has three runways . In addition, there are some flight schools, clubs, charterers and aircraft maintenance facilities.

The original name of the airport was Arapahoe County Airport . It is located immediately south of the city of Centennial , but is not named after the municipality that only existed since 2001.
