Ceropegia affinis is a plant of the genus ceropegia ( ceropegia ) of the subfamily asclepiadoideae (Asclepiadoideae).

features

Ceropegia affinis has persistent, relatively slender and twisting stems that can be up to 2 m long. They are dark green and only measure about 1 to 2 mm in diameter. The roots grow in fleshy bundles. The only slightly succulent leaves measure 2.5 to 3.8 × 1 to 4.5 cm. The leaf stalks are 5 to 15 mm long. The elongated-oval to broadly lanceolate leaf blade is brightly shiny with wavy edges.

The inflorescence is one to many-flowered; however, only one flower is open at a time. The individual flower is on average 2 to 3 cm long, in exceptional cases up to 4 cm. The color varies from light green, yellowish, through orange to red-brown. The crown cup is elliptical and slender and is only slightly wider than the crown tube at around 5 mm. This is curved and widens like a funnel to about 8 to 10 mm. The greenish-yellow corolla lobes are 4 to 6 mm long, roughly triangular and fused at the tips. The overgrown tips are brownish red. The edges are turned over and hairy white.

The slender follicles have a length of 9 to 15 cm and a diameter of 2 to 3 mm.
