Cesare Pinarello

Cesare Pinarello (born October 5, 1932 in Treviso , † August 2, 2012 in Treviso) was an Italian track cyclist .

At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , Cesare Pinarello won the bronze medal in a tandem race with Antonio Maspes . Four years later he was this success with Giuseppe Ogna at the Games in Melbourne repeat.

In 1953 Pinarello was runner-up in the amateur sprint world championship . Twice, in 1953 and 1955, he was also Italian sprint champion. In 1957 he moved to the professional driver camp. The third place at the championships in the sprint 1958 remained his best result. He continued to compete in track races until 1968 and then ended his career at the end of the year.

Cesare Pinarello had no connection with the well-known Pinarello bicycle company .
