Chakarov Island ( English ; Bulgarian Чакъров остров Tschakarow Ostrow ) is an icy, southwest-northeast orientation 2.18 km long, 600 m wide and 92 hectare large island in the archipelago of the Biscoe Islands west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 2.85 km southwest of Irving Island , 700 m north of Bedford Island , 5.35 km southeast of Belding Island and 4.7 km south of Watkins Island .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2020 after Danail Tschakarow from the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a member of the naming commission since 2013.
