The pan is an elevation on the Döhlen basin in Freital in Saxony . The summit of the mountain separates the Döhlen basin from the Eastern Ore Mountains .
Location and surroundings
The pan rises about 500 meters southeast of the Raschelberg in Freital. To the south is the Auf der Hartha plateau , to the east it borders on the Geyersgraben with the stream of the same name and the foothills of the Wachtelberg , to the northwest to the Freitaler district of Schweinsdorf and to the west to the Pfannengund with the Schweinsdorfer stream .

Several biotopes have been identified in the forest area of the same name , and there were new afforestations here in 1900/1991 and 2005 .
