Schweinsdorf is a district of the Saxon large district town of Freital in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .

geography

Schweinsdorf is located southeast of the Freital city area. Deuben and Hainsberg border in the west . A little further to the east is the Niederhäslich district . In the south, the Rabenauer Vorholz and Obernaundorf border. Large parts of the area lie on the foothills of the " Raschelberg ". The old village road (Jägerstraße) to Deuben and a road to Niederhäslich run along connecting paths.

history

"Schweinsdorfer Alm", Oststrasse. 2 / corner of Jägerstrasse

In 1340 Schweinsdorf was first mentioned as Swinsdorf . Since it is about monetary interest that had been bought from the burgraves of Dohna, it is reasonable to assume that the place was created in the later 12th century in connection with their colonization in the Weißeritz area, for which there are numerous other indications. 1466 was the administrative affiliation with the "care Tharandt". In 1551 the manor Potschappel exercised the manorial rule . From 1696 Schweinsdorf belonged to the Dresden office , since then it has been Amtsdorf. From 1856 to 1875 Schweinsdorf belonged to the Döhlen court office and later to the Dresden administration . In 1539 Schweinsdorf was pastured to Döhlen and since 1869 to Deuben. 1565 a Vorwerk is mentioned in the place .

On April 1, 1900, Schweinsdorf was the first district to be incorporated into Deuben. In 1921 Deuben merged with Döhlen and Potschappel to form the city of Freital, Schweinsdorf did not become a separate district of the new city, it remained assigned to Deuben and continued to exist as a village. In the course of a change in the municipality in March 2011, Schweinsdorf and Niederhäslich became their own districts of Freitals.
